Aftabunnesa Garments Limited is a 100% Export Oriented Garments factory (BSCI compliance certified, DBID-345350 and Oeko-Tex standard 100, product Class 1 certified) equipped with highly modern types of machinery mostly imported from UK, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Singapore, using the latest garments technology. It produces both woven and knits products for both USA and Europe markets. The factory’s range of products ranges from basic t-shirts, polo shirts, jackets, tank tops and shorts/trousers for knits division and all items for kids, denim/twill basic, trousers and cargo pants for the woven division. Woven Division was established in March 2010 while Knits Division operated from January 2012.
The Management team is controlled and guided by highly educated, dynamic, trustworthy and determined Garment and Textile related professionals in order to maintain the optimum quality of the products we produced as well as on-time delivery of the shipments. The factory is also manned by highly committed and motivated team of designers, managers, supervisors, quality inspectors and controllers and textile experts to be able to provide customer satisfaction. Our team is working in close coordination with our production to match every order to design specifications and clients’ expectation. We are also geared towards better results for our goods.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES:
- Sample Room – Both woven and knits is equipped with the knowledgeable workforce to cater all sampling of buyers to meet their requirement and lead time.
- Cutting Room – A separate cutting room for woven and knits division is in place to fill the capacity of each division.
- Finishing/Packing – Like cutting, the factory has made two finishing sections with ironing facility in order to ensure that all garments passed the finishing and packing requirement as per buyer’s standards.

TOTAL PRODUCTION LINES:
- Woven Division: – 6 lines for Basic and 2 lines for cargo/work wear.
- Knits Division: – 2 lines for Jacket, 2 lines for Polo and 6 lines for Basic T-Shirt.
Raw Material Procurement:
Yarn/accessories are purchased according to the buyers’ specification.
Knitting/Weaving:
Knitted/weaved fabrics are checked for quality issues including GSM in order to match up with styling approval before sending the fabrics to a dyeing facility.
Merchandising:
Merchandisers prepare Trim cards by styling to match up with Buyers’ Technical Sheet. Prepared trim cards are then sent to buyers (buying office/direct buyer) for approval. Once approved, trim card is being sent to Raw Material Store to duplicate for manufacturing purposes. Merchandisers check the duplicated copies before releasing them for production reference.
Raw Material Store
All raw materials received including fabrics and accessories are being checked vs. approved Trim card. All raw materials are being released for production using the Approved Trim card for reference.
Size Set Preparation/Approval:
- Cutting prepares the size set vs. the pattern from Sample Room.
- Sewing stitches the cut panels according to the style required.
- Quality section performs quality checking on the size set including measurement. In case of measurement discrepancies, Sample Room Master revises the pattern and forwards the revised pattern to Buyer for approval.
- Once a pattern is approved, Cutting will proceed with trial cutting and forward the same cut panels for the embellishment process.
CUTTING:
- Cutting prepares GSM cutting on all rolls before cutting to check on actual GSM of the fabric. Cutting prepares roll to roll shading as well.
- Once no discrepancies are found, cutting will go ahead with complete bulk production and sends the embellishment cut panels to desired embellished part.
- Cutting Quality personnel checks the cut panels vs. the approved patterns (top, middle, and bottom).
- Cutting assistant prepares bundle card as per to prevent shading issues.
EMBELLISHMENT:
- Factory QC and embellishment subcon QC submits the sample for Merchandising approval. Once Approved, Subcon embellishment proceeds with bulk production.
- Daily random quality checking is done for bulk production.
- All embellished cut panels are being returned to its original bundles.
Cut Panel Input:
Cutting input man checks all bundles of all cut panels and inputs all with the same bundle, cutting number to sewing.
SEWING:
- QA manager/QC floor in-charge conducts PP meeting on new styles scheduled to run in the lines. This PP meeting is done in order to ensure that all key quality issues are being brought to the attention of all key personnel.
- Line Supervisor checks the input (cut panels and raw materials) vs. the running style.
- Supervisor/Line Chief teaches the operators all the key processes according to approved PP Sample.
- Line QC checks the first output daily, prepares comments and informs the line should there be discrepancies and quality issues to pay attention to.
- Line QC conducts quality checking on all operations daily. It can be done once or more depending on the quality as performed by the operator.
- Table QCs’ conducts 100% inspection on all garments completed by the line and records the quality statistics on an hourly basis.
Finishing and Packing:
- After wash finishing supervisors check the style and request the plastic/metal buttons, rivets, leather patches as per style approval.
- Sewing operator attaches the correct buttons/leather patches and rivets as per style.
- Finishing assistants subjects every complete garment to Thread Sucking machine.
- Quality assistants cut the excess threads after wash.
- Quality Inspectors (assigned for inside checking) checks all inside area of the garments.
- Quality inspectors (assigned for outside checking) checks all inside area of the garments.
- After ironing, Quality inspectors check the get up of the garments before hanging tagging, poly and packing.
- The quality controller conducts pre-final on complete garments before giving the goods for the buyer’s final inspection.
- Once goods pass final inspection, goods are ship to buyer’s required destination.
FOR KNITS

- Accord has been completed their audit in 2014.
- Factory plans to apply for WRAP certification at the end of June 2016.
- Enough toilet facilities for both male and female workers.
- 2 Separate stairways for emergency exits fully lighted.
- Availability of sufficient medical facilities and first aid boxes for small injuries.
- Accident log monitoring for industrial injuries.
- Purified drinking water accessible to all workers.
- The factory is in compliance with all requirements of the Bangladesh Labor Law.

Production Facilities
We believe in the delivery of the best quality product at every stage of the production with utmost efforts from all side. To fulfill the expectations of our valued customers by highly trained staff who are fully equipped with washing and dry cleaning facility to ensure high-quality control as per international standard. To maintain optimum quality we depend on using the strength of technology and very close supervision. That’s why we follow three-stage quality control systems such as in line, pre-qualify and final inspection.
Our production floor is very wide and spacious having pure drinking water, proper fire exit, evacuate roadway marking and fresh air way passing passage throughout east to west direction.
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ):
1,000 Dozen Per Style, 250 Dozen per Color
Production Lead Time:
Our normal PLT is around 60-90 days for local yarn & accessories, But in terms of import from outside Bangladesh, we require 90 days to 120 days.
Lab Testing :
We do comply with all garments testing for colorfastness, pilling, fiber composition etc… are done from S G S or I T S Bangladesh or as per buyer’s choice.
Health & Safety:
It’s a major concern of our company. We are checking regular basis in order to ensure that all the electric lines and equipment are safe & protected. Protective gloves and masks are given to workers who are working with risk which regards to washing chemicals and yarn fluff respectively. Our factory has four evacuation door on each floor and carried out fire drill exercise on time. Required numbers of fire extinguishers are in place in the factory which checked regularly on due courses. It’s our policy to keep fire exit open even a member of worker stacked inside the factory building during time of firing disaster.
Medical Facility:
Jonayid Sweater has its own medical Centre with MBBS doctor and safety trained nurse. They are equipped with necessary medical and surgical tools for urgent necessary treatment.
No Child Labor:
We don’t allow any child labor as per agreement duly being signed between our Mother Organization BGMEA & ILO. During the time of recruitment, the worker has to declare age in written which could be verified by government civil surgeon’s office if necessary.
Bathroom Facility:
Sufficient numbers of a healthy bathroom (toilet) have made in each floor and they are keeping clean regularly twice a day and maintained the hygienic process.

PRODUCTION PROCESS FLOW CHART

MATERIAL CONTROL SYSTEM OF AMITY DESIGN LTD.
- Receive the raw material as per Performa Invoice
- Prepare the inventory report.
- Material Quality Inspection Report.
- Dispatch the materials as per indents duly approved by the factory management.
- Physical verification report generation regularly.
MATERIAL SAFETY
All procured material whether it is fabrics or accessories are placed by carefully on a wood stand or rack for safe from floor moisture or Dirty.
MAINTENANCE OF GARMENTS MACHINERY
Every day before starts work, the supervisor must check all sewing machines in the floor. If any defect is identified, corrective action should be taken before the machine handover to its operator.
GENERATOR SAFETY
There is a standby power generator installed in the factory area. This generator is being operated when electricity fails to supply power to the factory. The engine of the plant is brought under routine maintenance program. Lubricants must be changed prefixed interval.
A responsible person always checks whether the cooling system of the engine is working properly or not. Power Generator is installed on the ground floor of factories building.
FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Special attention is given by the Amity Design Ltd. authority to take preventive measure attains any types of fire hazards within the factory. Depending on the floor area proper numbers of firefighting equipment have been installed in selected places. Caption boards containing the caption “Fire Extinguisher” are hanged on those selected place. The date of installation of all equipments are noted down and as per instruction laid down in the operating manual of the equipment’ new ones must replace old refills.
COMPLIANCE ISSUES
Amity Design Ltd. strictly maintains the compliance issue as per ILO’s and Bangladesh Government rules and regulations for factory workers’ safety, health, and hygienic factors. The following factors are maintained strictly:
- No underage worker. All workers are over 18 years or older.
- No woman in heavy machine operation.
- No forced labor. Overtime is voluntary on occasions.
- Adequate, Hygienic Toilets and Urinals facilities for every worker.
- Available pure drinking water facilities on each floor.
- First Aid facilities are available in each department.
- The factory premises are smoking free zone.

The whole system managed by 55 experienced and dedicated office staff, including 27 production and marketing officer.
